Right now you can check out
what we started to do with the BACK of the car...
Over the past 2 weeks we have started to get the BACK of the car ready for its African trip. Have you seen what it looks like? The first thing we did was to CLEAR OUT the back.
You can see that there was a storage compartment in the car from the previous owner.
Why do we want to CLEAR OUT the entire back? Because we need to custom build all types of storage boxes for all the stuff we are going to bring with us. This means storage for...
car repair tools and spare parts (just in case we need to fix the car, or we get stuck) |
| food (canned food, spices, coffee and tea, cooking oil, etc.) |
water (not just one bottle, but a water tank that can hold about 250 liters or 66 gallons. This will be the water we use to drink, cook with and clean up with! |
refrigerator (a small one, but a place to store some food/drink and medicine. Remember some medicine won't last in hot weather!) |
camping & cooking equipment |
| washing up gear (a sink or washing bin and place to have a quick shower) |
| clothes, shoes and coats |
Patrick & Corinne also show you around the back of the UNIMOG.
What are the radio speakers doing in the back of the car? Did you know what that the unimog used to be in the German army? Want to see more? Check out the VIDEOS here. |
